From the Pottery to your Home - Ceramic Spoons
These spoons are hand formed from a dark speckled clay and look delicious with my own glazes. They are not of a specific measure, but will give a nice mouthful of cereal or ice-cream. They can be used for scooping sugar, jam, honey etc. A unique handmade gift for someone, or for you to keep to use with a special mug.
Just to give you a little insight into their making... Your ceramic spoon is made with much love. Ceramics takes a long time to make. Each spoon is handmade from a slab of clay which will fire to a dark toasty colour with speckles. It is left to dry, then it gets fired in my kiln at 1945 degrees. After it comes out of the kiln I glaze it with my own home-made glazes and then it gets it’s second fire in an even hotter kiln – 2167 degrees! That takes about 8 hours to fire and another 12 hours to cool down before I can open the kiln. With a little care your ceramic spoon will last for many, many years! I do recommend hand-washing only.
Postage is Canada wide only. Postage costs will be added to your total. Local pick-up will be made available at the Broadmead Village Shopping Centre (Victoria, BC). You can also arrange to pick up your items from my home in North Saanich, - please contact me directly about this.
