About
Earth to Earth Ceramics deeply realizes the profound connection between what is received and what is given.
Earth to Earth Ceramics is about using earth's natural materials to create something functional and beautiful. The earth has given so many gifts and I use the clay and other raw materials with respect and gratitude.
Small batch functional and decorative items are hand-made with love and care.
Clay and other materials are given and transformed by creative hands and a curious spirit and and then
given to others to enrich lives, commemorate moments, or simply bring joy.
Location: Beautiful Mill Bay, Vancouver Island
Earth to Earth Ceramics acknowledges, with respect, that we forage and create
on the traditional and ancestral lands of the Coast Salish Peoples. They have cared for the land,
the rivers and ocean for thousands of years and have stewarded these resources
for generations to come. We are grateful to the land itself from which comes
the clay and minerals to create our ceramics.
Artist Statement
Earth to Earth Ceramics specializes in hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramics. My mission is to transform simple, earthy materials into delightful and useful items that enrich lives and commemorate moments. I delight in carving texture into the clay and using my own home-made glazes to reflect the calming and joyful colours of the earth. At Earth to Earth Ceramics, I understand the profound connection between what is received and what is given, and strive to create items that reflect this connection. My small-batch approach allows us to carefully craft each piece, ensuring that it meets my high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Whether you're looking for a functional mug for your morning coffee or a decorative piece to add some earthy charm to your home, Earth to Earth Ceramics has something for you.

Earth to Earth ceramics brings simple, unpolished beauty to your home.
There is nothing instant about ceramics. Clay is ancient, millions of years in the making. Much skill is needed to form and shape the clay. Two or more journeys through the immense heat of the kiln or fire finally bring the form to beauty.
